Electronic Submission for New and Revised Manuscripts Thank you for submitting your manuscript online! New Manuscript Submission Revised Manuscript Submission Check Manuscript Status NEW MANUSCRIPT SUBMISSION Prior to electronic submission, authors must consult the general author instructions for information on format, style, and types of manuscripts. Manuscripts not prepared according to JMR specifications may be returned to the author and could experience significant delays in review and publication. Before you proceed to the electronic submission screen, please be sure you have the following items: Contact information for ALL authors (including e-mail addresses). You must enter ALL author names on the submission screen or they will not be entered into our records. Manuscript (including abstract) and figures in electronic format. For review purposes, please save your text and figures in one file. The JMR Manuscript Central site will convert your manuscript and figures to PDF. Names, addresses, fax and phone numbers, and e-mail addresses of four possible reviewers will help to speed up the review process. Keywords for the paper, selected from the JMR keyword list. This list is also used for areas of expertise in your user profile. Publication charge and copyright forms must be submitted for each paper upon submission. You may download the forms and send them to the JMR Editorial Office by fax (724 779 4396) or mail (Journal of Materials Research, Materials Research Society, 506 Keystone Drive, Warrendale, PA 15086, USA). For more detailed descriptions of the forms, please refer to the general author instructions. You are now ready to proceed to the JMR Manuscript Central site. Always check first for an existing account. Many authors have been entered into the system already whether or not they have submitted a manuscript via this system. Detailed electronic submission instructions can be found under "Instructions and Forms." Proceed To JMR MANUSCRIPT CENTRAL REVISED MANUSCRIPT SUBMISSION Do not create a new account! To access your account, click "check for exising account" to obtain your userID and password. Log into the JMR Manuscript Central site and proceed to your Author Center. Your manuscript will be listed with an R1 extension for a first revision, R2 for second revision, etc. You must first respond to the reviewers' and editor's comments by clicking "View Comments and Respond." After you have saved your response, click on the manuscript title, which will take you into the Draft Center. Follow the system instructions for resubmission. Upon acceptance or revision of your paper, you will need to provide separate electronic files (TIFF or EPS) for each figure as well as a text file for the manuscript, preferably in Word.
