Public Affairs Committee
Goals
- Contribute to the development
of federal science and technology policy in materials-related
areas by:
- serving as a resource for
reliable, unbiased technical and professional information,
- stimulating responsible technical
discussion and facilitating the exchange of information between
policy makers, materials scientists and engineers, and the public.
- Provide timely information
on materials-related emerging public policy issues, Federal programs
and other activities to MRS members and others in the materials
community.
- Facilitate teaming with other
materials-related professional societites to create a larger
voice for the materials field in order to enhance the information,
implementation and broaden understanding of materials-related
policy for the benefit of society.
