WORKSHOP PROGRAM
Overflow Housing Information
Purpose and Description
Transparent conducting oxides (TCOs) are vital thin-film components
in several potentially large-volume applications such as photovoltaic
modules, flat-panel-displays, and architectural coatings. Although
TCO coatings were not initially a performance-limiting factor
for these applications, indications are that for next-generation
thin-film components and other high performance applications,
they may well be. The purpose of the workshop is to bring together
a critical mass of representatives from industry, the national
laboratories and universities to discuss prospects, needs, challenges
and opportunities for TCOs. The goal of the Workshop is to stimulate
the formation of a coordinated R&D effort for new and improved
TCOs by developing synergies between the various sectors represented.
Workshop Topics
· Large Area Deposition
· Commercialization Problems/Issues
· New TCO Materials
· Fundamental TCO Research
· Novel Applications
Each topic will be represented by authorities
from each sector to develop a perspective on the current challenges
and opportunities in the TCO field. Working group discussions
will focus on problems, opportunities and resources required
to advance TCO development. We look forward to your participation.
