essential meeting materials to and from the technical sessions,

a minimum of four half-day sessions, students will receive a
complimentary student registration, a one-year MRS student membership
commencing July 1, 2001, and a stipend to help defray expenses.
Symposium assistant positions will be assigned on a first-come,
first-served basis, as needed.
Student Mixer
All graduate students and members
of MRS University Chapters are invited to attend the student
mixer reception Monday, April 16, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
in Golden Gate A1 of the Marriott Hotel. Student chapters are
a vital part of MRS, providing discussion between students and
faculty and promoting student interest in materials science.
Don't miss this opportunity to meet with others involved in MRS
student activities.

The Society will present Gold and
Silver Awards at the 2001 Spring Meeting to graduate students

during the Award Ceremony, all finalists will be presented with
either Gold or Silver Awards.
