Held in the Exhibit Hall, Hynes Convention Center, this one-hour seminar is available to meeting attendees at no charge. Wednesday, December 4 Introduction to Instrumented Indentation Testing (IIT) IIT, or Instrumented Indentation Testing, is referred to by several names: nanoindentation, continuous recording indentation, depth-sensing indentation, low or ultra-low load indentation, and picoindentation. Through this seminar, participants will learn the fundamental models and techniques used in measuring mechanical properties at the nanoscale. The seminar will also address advantages gained through continuous measurement of the elastic stiffness of the contact between the indenter tip and the sample.
