The Materials
Research Society is pleased to announce the Entrepreneurship Challenge – a competition
designed to help our members develop the entrepreneurial skills that
get ideas out of the lab and directly into the marketplace.
Through the Entrepreneurship Challenge, scientists and business students
will form “virtual teams” to develop a 12-slide PowerPoint
presentation that will present a startup technology to a panel of venture
capitalist judges. The
grand prize is $3,000 – and the top three teams will additionally receive
meeting registration plus travel funding of up to $3,000 each to present their
entries at the 2006 MRS Spring Meeting.
